The trip
In the weekend of May 6, we (the board of YES!Delft Students) will travel to Chicago together with 20 ambitious students. Here we will spend a week being inspired by the culture of Chicago.
The purpose of the trip is: to inspire students around Entrepreneurship and to go into business in Delft. We chose to go to Chicago because it is an emerging city in terms of entrepreneurial spirit. In addition, the United States often offers a fascinating culture when it comes to funding and the start-up world is much more on the map than in the Netherlands. Therefore, this seemed a suitable location to get inspired and motivated to start your journey in the Netherlands.

The course belonging to the START Entrepreneurial phase is Ready to start-up. Ready to start-up is a highly interactive course in which you will gain all knowledge and receive the tools needed to build your business successfully and – most importantly –apply the concepts to your own business. Experienced professional business experts, entrepreneurs and coaches (from Roland Berger), guide you through e.g. customer validation, marketing, finance and team composition.

This minor focuses on technological entrepreneurship in developing countries. The program is split into two parts. First, you will follow courses on cultural differences, business plans, project planning, and much more. These serve as a preparation for the second part: an internship project on location in a developing country.
